Houjicha Gold


This unique tea gets its smooth and nutty flavor from the toasting of the Bancha leaves (Japanese green Sencha that is harvested between summer and autumn).

It is highly aromatic, with a “woodsy” brown liquid. This tea has a bold flavor and aroma, but is low in caffeine and gentle on the stomach. Also tastes great iced!

Roasted Japanese green tea leaves. Caffeinated.

Infusion process:
1 tsp / 4 oz water
195- 205 (medium - large bubbles)
- 1st infusion 0:30-1:00
- 2nd infusion 0:10
- 3rd infusion 0:30-1:00
